Todays walk in detail

Nineteen members met at Anglers Country Park on a very warm sunny day. The walk went along fields and through woods skirting the Waterton Park Golf Course and past Walton Hall Hotel and Spa. A break was taken sitting on the wall of the disused Barnsley canal. Onwards along more cornfields to take lunch at the village of Notton. Some sitting in the sun or shade on the village green and some sitting in the shade watching the Archery on the cricket field. The walk finished along the Barnsley canal and through Haw Park Woods back to the car park. Welcome refreshments were taken in the garden at The Anglers Retreat, Wintersett.
