It was a lovely spring day for 14 members setting off from Mam Nick, Bradwell Moor and took the road down to Bradwell stopping for a break overlooking the village. We then strolled through Bradwell via Smalldale and joined the path at the back of the Cathedral leading to Pindale and ultimately Castleton with views across Hope Valley. We crossed the base of Winnats Pass and climbed to the Treak Cliff Cavern, there we had a leisurely lunch with time to view the museum before resuming our steep climb to the car park at the base of Mam Tor, the end of the walk. At that point, despite recovering from the previous day’s Aleway, 3 members and 1 dog took the steep path and steps to the top of Mam Tor for glorious views from the summit. The Travellers Rest at Hope provided the after walk beverages.
