Todays walk in detail

There were 15 people started from Bagger wood on a lovely sunny, frosty morning we went via Hood Green to Stainborough Castle. We had our meal break in the castle grounds and then wandered through the gardens and had a brief stop at the Conservatory to learn about the History of Wentworth Castle and its family. We returned via Stainborough Park and Duke of Argyll`s monument and Wood Nook. We then finished with refreshment at the Green Dragon, Thurgoland where the landlord kindly opened early for us.
