Todays walk in detail

26 of us set off from Sandy Flat Lane in glorious sunshine. We crossed fields and Morthen Lane to arrive in Morthen village, where we were all  pleased to see two new born calves in the yard outside Lawns farm. Lunch was taken off a bridle way near Penny Hill wind farm, with the apres lunch walk taking us past the first of two road traffic accidents. Through the wind farm and following the road, footpaths and fields to arrive back at Morthen. More road work to arrive back on Morthen Road for the home straight back to Sandy Flat. Here the scene of the second accident of the day. With Morthen Road closed, planned drinks at the Rising Deer were curtailed.
