15 walkers and Donna's dog enjoyed a walk from Eyam in the lovely late April sunshine. The climb up to Highlcliffe was challenging as ever but we were rewarded with the site of two lambs who had just been born. We then walked down to Stoke Ford having taken our coffee break overlooking Bretton Clough. We were provided with a beautiful view of the valley below and the opportunity for a group photoshoot. Our journey then took us past Oaks Farm onto Abney Moor and then a short climb up to the gliding club. The walk was then concluded via Great Hucklow, Grindlow, Foolow and then finally back to Eyam. A debate took place as to which was of greater interest; the perilous flight of hang-gliders or the mining deposits of the Black Mine to our immediate left. Refreshments at the excellent "Miners" in Eyam.
