Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Dearne and Kirklees Way Netherton circular

On a clear and crisp morning 17 hardy souls embarked on a walk in the rolling countryside of West Yorkshire. The sun was out, the wind was light, what more could be asked. After passing the outskirts of the YSP, cut across open countryside, passing an amazing area where Yorkshire Water has created a flood prevention area. The walk continued uphill and down dales along clearly defined paths, always having Emley Moor mast in view. Elevenses were taken above Bank Wood. After this we walked through more fields until we came across a stunning water tower conversion. More ups and downs followed until we had lunch in the sunshine before going through Netherton and heading back to the cars. Drinks were taken at the British Oak. Thanks to Annie, Roy and others for backmarking.
