Thanks to all 26 who all turned up for one of my favourite short walks. It was overcast but warm with a slight breeze and the chance of a shower. Starting from Cote Green car park we passed through Thurgoland tunnel on the TPT then dropped down to the river Don. Then on past the 'fish pass' and the old mill near the wier where we had our first coffee/tea break. After crossing the river we made our way up through the woods to the delightful Ivy Millenium Green Communal Garden in Green Moor village. After a brief stop at the historic Green Moor Pump House we carried on climbing up through the village green and Delph quarry at Hunshelf. We emergend on the top field with great views of Stocksbridge and the surrounding area. Then down through the woods, over the stepping stone bridge and back to the car park just in time to miss most of a heavy shower. Thanks to Dave for backmarking and a warm welcome to Rhona who has now 'signed up' and joined our club.
