25 of us set off on a bright morning from the car park at the Dukeries Garden Centre, Welbeck. We crossed the A60 and walked through Holbeck, along an avenue of lime trees, passing a church. Walking along the edge of fields and woodland we entered fields with cattle in and enjoyed a good view of Creswell below. Passing over a tricky stile (the one and only) we dropped down into Creswell Crags passing the caves on one side. After a coffee stop in the sunshine we continued down the other side of the crags, past the equestrian centre and up a long slope alongside the quarry to join the path back to Welbeck. Everyone enjoyed the leisurely walk and the showers held off!
