Todays walk in detail

It was my pleasure to lead the last walk of 2025. 20 walkers set off from the very busy A57. We soon entered Lindrick Dale and the beautiful Houses. We then walked down by the canal and stopped for a break at Shireoaks by the stream. We then walked back up by the canal where we saw five swans a swimming four ducks a quacking but no gold rings. We were all very conscious of the predicted rain so a good pace was set and we returned to our starting point by the golf course without a single drop of rain. Refreshments were taken at the Loyal Trooper after a unsuccessful visit to the Leeds arms which was full of people waiting for a Christmas dinner. So a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.
