Todays walk in detail

On this horrible Sunday morning 9 brave souls and Ruby the dog started from Baslow going through the kissing gate into Chatsworth park. We followed the river Derwent onto Beeley were we had a break in the churchyard. Then up the lane into Birch wood with Beeley brook on the left onto the moor. Back onto Chatsworth estate through Stand wood, past Swiss lake were we had lunch at the Emperor lake. After lunch we went to the fountain and onto the Hunting Tower, back through Stand wood into the park again and back to Baslow. Thanks to all that came on this damp day and Andrew for back-marking. Refreshments enjoyed at the Robin Hood.
