On a glorious spring morning, 33 members and 3 dogs set off from the local school at Laughton-en-le Morthen. We made our way through a field edge onto Brookhouse Lane with views of the Brookhouse Viaduct. We headed towards the edge of the village and continued on local footpaths until reaching Slade Hooton. Here we were met with beautiful fields of rapeseed . We continued down the fields to Hooton Dike and woodland into Roche Abbey, where we enjoyed a refreshments stop in the sunshine. We retraced our steps via the stepping stones into the woodland and ascended onto fields leading back to Laughton-en-le-Morthen village with extensive views of the mornings walk. Further refreshments were taken at Monksbridge Farm. Thanks to Hazel and Sue for back marking.
