Todays walk in detail

On a beautiful spring morning 37 walkers gathered at The Woodman pub at Woodlaithes. (Sunnyside) we welcomed a few new walkers then set out and walked through Ravenfield wood and we all admired the bluebells. We then crossed the road and made our way to the old Silverwood pit site that has been returned to nature. We tackled a challenging hill before having a break. We then set off and continued around pond and back to our starting point. Where refreshments and a well earned break were taken. Hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did.
